At the beginning of April, we had the pleasure of hosting prof. Kilho Shin from the prestigious Gakushuin University in Tokyo, Japan. Prof. Shin is a high-class specialist in cryptography and machine learning, a teacher for members of the Imperial Family and a master of the traditional tea ceremony. Prof. Shin came to continue work with Dr. Maciej Huk on contextual neural networks covered by international patents and their use for quick feature selection and data processing. On this occasion, our guest presented the lecture "Category-Theoretic Perspectives on Machine Learning" on the use of morphisms to build universal machine learning algorithms. Additional nice accents during the visit included introduction to the Japanese tradition of tea ceremony and Polish Easter customs.
